Here is one way UDI is working towards building a positive working relationship with HRM.
On July 26, I met with HRM’s Director of Planning and Development, Kelly Denty and Mayor Mike Savage. We discussed the new permitting process, and concerns which have been raised by our members. We were able to identify some of the issues with the new system, and the remedies available.
We will be bringing together a few UDI members to offer their observations, including but not limited to what works and what needs improvement. This will take some time, so I ask that you be patient.
Once we have our meeting, I will notify everyone of the outcomes and map out a way forward.
